Derecho- a word that only conjures fear especially after being caught in one last year, rightly so for our farm is suffering again this year from this unique storms havoc.
Since Sunday June 9, 2013 we have heard Wednesday would be a rainy possibly stormy day, but while sitting watching the 11 o’clock news and weather on channel 6 WSYX with Bill Kelly Tuesday evening a 7 letter word was used to describe a weather condition that would unnerve anyone after having experienced this weather phenomenon. As soon as they stated what this storm system would do we were in a quandary as to whether we do our Wednesday night farmers market or make a very important judgment call for the well being of our livestock and farm.
