It’s Carousel Watergardens Farm Market Day this Saturday March 19th. We will be set up in the parking lot of the Glenwood United Methodist Church at 2833 Valleyview Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43204, from 10am-1pm. We are located at the corner of Hague & Valleyview Drive, look for our big gray market trailer and come shop inside our heated market trailer. Check out our recipe using our farm fresh Brussel sprouts and honey.
Shop our farm fresh produce of broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, and carrots, along with our russet, red & fingerling potatoes, red & yellow onions, garlic, sweet onions and sweet potatoes. We still have a nice selection of our farms fresh winter squash choose from butternut, delicata, spaghetti, hooli, pie pumpkins, striped, green and carnival acorn squash. Check out our wonderful variety of pantry-fare items such as jams, jellies, soup mixes, pure natural honey, honey comb, honey sticks, maple syrup, popcorn, herb dips, rubs & seasonings and our fresh ground oat & wheat flour. Check out our “Reflections by CAR” line of stationary cards depicting scenic, rural, farm, nature & animals, we have some new ones we just finished making. Recipe: CWFFarm Honey Brussel Sprouts & Onions
1 medium Carousel Watergardens Farm sweet onion cut up
1 container of Carousel Watergardens Farm’s Brussel Sprouts, clean and cut in quarters
1 teaspoon of Carousel Watergardens Farm honey
Salt & pepper to taste
2 teaspoon of Worstershire sauce
½ cup of shredded Mozzarella cheese
Olive oil
Place olive oil in fry pan and add onions and brussel sprouts. Salt & pepper to taste, add honey and worstershire sauce and stir all together. Cover and cook over medium heat to caramelize onions and brussels stirring as needed. Once caramelized turn heat to low and add a little water cover and allow to cook until brussels are tender. Add mozzarella cheese over top and allow to melt. Serve warm.
