CWFFarm Baked Striped Acorn Squash with Maple Syrup
Here is a quick and easy recipe for delicious and nutritious Striped Acorn squash
Ingredients
2 servings 189 caloriess
1 medium Carousel Watergardens Farm striped acorn squash, halved and seeded
2 tablespoons Carousel Watergardens Farm Maple Syrup
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoons brown sugar
Directions
Prep time 5 minutes Cook time 1 hour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
Turn acorn squash upside down onto a cookie sheet. Bake in a 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven until it begins to soften, approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
Remove squash from the oven and turn onto a plate so that the flesh is facing upwards. Place butter and brown sugar into each half of the squash, cover each with a piece of tin foil. Place squash in a baking dish (so the squash won’t slide around too much) while baking. Place squash in the 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven and bake another 30 minutes.
Note: you can score the squash as shown in picture so the maple syrup & butter can marinate while cooking.
