CWFFarm Market at Ohio Health Homecare in Dublin March 3rd

IMG_2543CWFFarm 100 percent homegrownTuesday March 3rd we will be set up at Ohio Health Home Care over the lunch hours from 11am-1:00pm at 5450 Frantz Road, Dublin, Ohio 43016. We are located in the employee parking lot behind the building. Our farm market is open to the employees as well as the public. Please be sure to share with all your friends & family. Especially for the recipe.

We will have our farm fresh seasonal produce including winter squash of delicata, striped acorn, butternut, hooli and pie pumpkins. We will have our delicious brussel sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, as well as red, yellow & purple potatoes, red, white & sweet onions, garlic, sweet potatoes, green & purple cabbage and carrots. Enjoy browsing our selection of value added farm products such as soup mixes, gourmet popcorn, herb dips, rubs & seasonings, jams & jellies, oat & wheat flour, fresh maple syrup, honey, honey sticks and honey comb. Don’t forget our farm fresh CSA eggs, ground beef & pork sausage.

Recipe:
Carousel Watergardens Farm Vegetable Medley

Here is a recipe using our farm’s fresh winter vegetables. This is a great dish to eat alone IMG_5176cwffarm sgnd veg medleyor serve with pork chops or a beef roast. Serves 4

¾ pound CWFFarm Brussel sprouts cut up in quarters
2 medium CWFFarm sweet potatoes, peeled & quartered
2 medium CWFFarmcarrots, diced
1 medium CWFFarm sweet onion, diced
1 head of CWFFarm Broccoli cut in florets
½ head of CWFFarm cauliflower cut up
2 cloves CWFFarm garlic, finely chopped
a dollop of butter or coconut oil
2 cups of water
½ teaspoon of celery seed
3-4 shakes of Worstershire sauce
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

1. Caramelize Brussel sprouts, carrots, onion and garlic with butter, olive oil or coconut oil (your choice) in a large skillet
season with salt and pepper. Add in sweet potatoes, broccoli, shake Worstershire sauce over vegetables and add water.
2. Cover, place over a medium heat and bring to simmer. Cook, stirring occasionally adding water as needed until potatoes and carrots are tender. Serve as side dish or as a vegetable meal.
